So, today we’ll be showing you a delicious recipe to prepare shrimp: Langostino al ajillo. Walking around the coast of Spain, you’ve probably smelled this dish (or the also popular Gambas al ajillo). The aroma is so enticing, you will want to make this dish again and again.
Now, be warned: things will get smoky in your kitchen, so our best advice would be to open your windows before you start cooking!
You can use whatever size shrimp you can get, just remember we prefer not to have peeled or pre-cooked shrimp in this case.

Langostinos al ajillo recipe
Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh shrimp
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 lemon
- coarse salt
- olive oil
Instructions
- Peel and chop the garlic cloves into very small pieces.
- Wash the shrimp and scatter them in a big frying pan, along with some olive oil over medium/high heat.
- Add the chopped garlic cloves. Turn the shrimps upside down once they start to turn orange.
- Serve with some coarse salt and a squeezed lemon on top.
