Ever wondered how to make churros? Then follow this quick churros recipe!
- 500 ml water
- 250 gr flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 25 gr sugar
- sunflower oil
Heat the water in a saucepan. Add salt.
Turn the heat off as soon as it starts boiling. Add the flour and mix well with a wooden spoon until the dough is uniform.
Place the dough in a bowl and let it cool down for about 5 minutes.
Heat a frying pan full of oil. It has to be very hot. In the meantime place the dough in a piping bag. If you don't have one, fill a normal plastic bag with the dough, cut off one of the corners and just squeeze it to release it. Fry the churros as soon as the oil is hot. making 15-20 cm pieces with the piping bag. You can cut the pieces with a pair of scissors.
Make sure the churros don't stick together and remove them from the oil as soon as they start to brown. Let them on some paper towels so that as much oil as possible gets drained.
Add sugar on top.
